UChicago Trek – Business in Zurich, Switzerland

Career Advancement is excited to offer a Business Trek to Zurich, Switzerland. The trek will be a wonderful opportunity to:

·       Explore a variety of employers and opportunities in Zurich's Business sector

·       Meet and engage with professionals and alumni working in these fields

·       Jumpstart your networking for potential internship or hiring placements

Possible site visits include Mondelez, Credit Suisse, and UBS.

 

COSTS COVERED CAREER ADVANCEMENT:

·       Career Advancement will provide housing Sunday, December 10 – Tuesday, December 12 (check out on Wednesday, December 13)

·       Career Advancement will provide transportation among site visits and any other group events.


COSTS COVERED BY STUDENTS:

·       Students are responsible for their airfare for the trek

·       Students are responsible for their transportation to the airport, as well as between the airport and hotel.

·       Financial assistance may be available for qualifying students to help over flight costs, and transportation between the airport and hotel on-site. Please visit https://careeradvancement.uchicago.edu/assistance-travel-costs for more information about travel assistance.

·       Students are responsible for any non-group meals.


TRAVEL INFORMATION

·       To participate in the trek you will need to arrive in Zurich the morning of December 10 and plan on departing the evening of December 13.


VISA APPLICATION

·       U.S Citizens will not require a visa to enter Switzerland. If you are a non-U.S. Citizen, please visit the following link to determine whether or not you will require a visa in order to attend the trek: https://www.swiss-visa.ch/

·       Students are required to determine their own visa needs and obtain the proper visa to participate in international treks.

o   Why you would like to attend the trek, what you hope to get out of it, and how you can make the trip meaningful for yourself and the other students attending

o   How you will use the trek experience to further your professional development upon return

o   What your experience is with the relevant industry
