AI Integration Program - Winter 2026

Program Overview

Learn fundamental AI skills and apply your knowledge to develop an automated workflow - no technical experience required! As AI becomes more integrated into careers across industries, this program equips students with a better understanding how to implement AI-driven tools in the workplace.

Through a 4-part workshop series and hands-on development project, students will identify a problem or inefficiency that could be improved or automated through AI. Students will learn how to map an AI workflow and then use technical tools to build it out. The program will culminate in a demo day where students will showcase their projects.

Open to 2nd Year students of all majors, this program allows students with limited technical experience to gain a resume-worthy experience implementing AI.

Applicants must follow the application directions and complete the external form for full consideration.

Program Goals:

  • Baseline Understanding – Students will be able to grasp how LLMs work and how agents can be constructed.
  • Workflow Mapping Skills – Students will be able to interview, document, and structure workflows using a workflow mapping tool.
  • Applied Agent-Building – Students will be able to connect LLMs with workflows, using low-code/no-code tools.
  • Portfolio-Ready Output – Students will design their own agent around a specific workflow relevant to them as a final project (workflow map + functional AI agent prototype) to showcase at Demo Day for leaders in the UChicago community.
