About the Program
- The Trott Business Program is a selective program that prepares UChicago students for successful careers in business
- Trott members secure job and internship opportunities with top firms such as Amazon, Bain & Co., Bank of America, BCG, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, McKinsey & Co., and Morgan Stanley
Trott Business Program Curriculum
The program prepares students for success with a holistic curriculum that includes:
- “Business core” workshops covering key skills such as Excel, networking, and financial statement analysis along with industry case study exercises
- Specialized industry tracks including Banking/Private Equity, Sales & Trading, Consulting, Corporate Strategy & Marketing, Venture Capital, Sports Business, and Real Estate
- MBA-level coursework at the world-renowned Chicago Booth School of Business
How to Apply
Class of 2029 students will have one cycle to apply for the Trott Business Program.
Application Timelines:
- December 1: Application Opens
- January 23: Application Deadline
- February 20: Decisions Released
- March 23: Spring Quarter Core Programming Begins

Application Eligibility
- Current first-year
- All majors welcome
- 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Commitment to being available on Wednesdays from 5:00pm-7:00pm for required weekly workshops in the spring quarter of AY25-26 and fall, winter and spring quarters for AY26-27
Interested in Quantitative Finance? Apply for the Financial Markets Program
- The Financial Markets Program (FM) is a selective program that prepares UChicago students for quantitative finance careers such as trading, financial modeling, or quantitative analysis.
- Students may apply to both Trott and FM but will only be accepted into one.
- FM application timeline: the application deadlines are the same as the Trott Business Program
