Summer 2026 Germany Quantum Fellows Program

Dates: Mid-June, 2026 - Mid-August, 2026

Location:  Germany

Eligibility: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years

 

Program Overview

UChicago Career Advancement is excited to host the Germany Quantum Fellows Program, where undergraduate students will have the opportunity to spend the summer gaining real world experience in one of the world's biggest quantum hubs!

Selected students will be matched with prominent quantum employers throughout Germany such as Qoro, QuantumDiamonds, and Peak Quantum for a 10-week long internship experience. Opportunities will range from technical roles, such as software development, to business strategy.

Students will receive a Metcalf stipend to support their experience. 

 

Eligibility

The Summer 2026 Germany Quantum Fellows Program is ideal for students looking to travel abroad, explore their interest in quantum, and enhance their career prospects in an ever-growing market. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students of all majors should feel welcome to apply. No prior quantum work experience is necessary!

Complete your application by March 9th at 11:59pm.

  1. (Required) Submit a One-Page Resume
  2. (Required) Letter of Interest/Cover Letter

This cover letter will be sent to all prospective employers. It should be formatted following Career Advancement's Cover Letter Guide and should include answers to the following questions:

  • Why would you like to attend this program in specific?
  • Why are you interested in the quantum field and what area of quantum interests you?
  • How will you use this experience to further your professional development upon your return?
