Garcia Hamilton & Associates Fixed Income Externship

About the Program
Garcia Hamilton & Associates (GHA) is a Houston-based fixed-income investment management firm. This one-week, on-site externship is a condensed, intensive version of GHA’s summer internship program, offered exclusively to UChicago undergraduates. Students will get hands-on exposure to how a fixed-income manager operates, rotating through portfolio management, fixed-income trading, portfolio reconciliation, client reporting, operations, and marketing, with direct access to the firm’s investment professionals.

Who Should Apply
This program is well suited to advanced first- and second-years and upperclassmen exploring a pivot to fixed income. No prior fixed-income experience is required, but applicants should be able to show a genuine interest in the asset class and in investment management.

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled UChicago undergraduate student
• Available in person in Houston for the full week of March 15-19
