Global Health Scholars Program Application - Spring 2021

The Global Health Scholars Program is a selective track within Careers in Policy and Social Impact offered to College students interested in a broad scope of careers related to the field of health equity. The program is designed to help students explore the linkages between global, national, and local public health issues and the skills needed to advance in the sector.

To meet track requirements, selected scholars participate in skills workshops, attend conferences, participate in innovation challenges and other activities to prepare them for careers in the U.S. and abroad. Scholars have until graduation to complete track requirements and will receive a designation of completion on their transcript. The program is open to first, second, and third year students and all majors are encouraged to apply.

Participating students benefit from:
  • Workshops and seminars that explore technology, policy, supply chain, marketing, finance, human-centered design and their roles in global health
  • Exploring the technical and soft skills needed to succeed in the sector
  • Networking opportunities with global health and human development organizations
  • International summer internship opportunities with grassroots nonprofits, bilateral institutions, multilateral agencies, and international NGOs
  • Access to funding for professional development opportunities, especially global health certifications and conference attendance
  • International global health career treks

The Global Health Scholars Program is supported by a generous gift from Richard Pozen (AB'69) and Ann Pozen.
