Kapani Metcalf Internship with Traffik Analysis Hub: Human Capital Crime

This internship is funded by the Kapani Metcalf Internship program. Students will receive a stipend amount of $5,000 dollars which will be issued directly through Career Advancement.

Job description
With an estimated 40M slaves in the world today, Human Capital Crime is big business - one which cannot be stopped by arresting the perpetrators. Financial disruption of the "industry" is one of the main alternatives. The internship will give a unique insight into the world of Human Capital Crime and how world financial institutions are involved in policing the sector with help from NGOs and in particular the technology and data provided by TAH

Training or skills required for the position
Traffik Analysis Hub is a charity specifically set up to use technology to disrupt the finances of Human Trafficking. It offers access to a dataset that Financial Institutions, NGOs, Academics and Govt Agencies (inc Law Enforcement) are able to use to enhance their own systems, resulting in documentary evidence suitable for financial and other compliance purposes. We are looking for a student with knowledge of international finance, interested in the economics of human capital crime together with some knowledge of technology and Artificial Intelligence.

TAH is based in the UK. So all work will be remote - bear in mind the time difference if you are working from abroad. (working hours can be flexible to accommodate this) Access to up to date technology and a reasonably fast broadband connection is essential.
