Harris School Assistant Professor Eyal Frank is seeking a summer research assistant for a project that will study the impacts that the 1958 Four Pests Campaign in China had on agricultural productivity. We are seeking a research assistant to help us with collecting and harmonizing previous locust outbreak maps in China during the 1950 to 1970 period. Detailed maps exist with the location and severity of locust outbreaks. The RA will be responsible to collate them, and under our guidance, digitize them, and assign locust event exposure at the county-level.
