Concert Photographer at UChicago Presents

The University of Chicago Presents (UChicago Presents) seeks an individual interested in being a vital and important part of a respected organization dedicated to the presentation of classical, jazz, world, and contemporary music. Provides exposure to the world’s best musicians.

Concert Duties: The Concert Photographer photographs concerts throughout the season. Responsibilities include capturing a variety of performance photos, coordinating concert schedules with the Director of Production and Education, working with the Marketing & Communications Coordinator to strategize shots, and delivering digital photos within two weeks of each event.

Qualifications: Good attention to detail; responsible; timely; interest in broad range of music from classical to jazz, world, and contemporary and/or arts and cultural events is highly encouraged. Previous photography experience is preferred. Applicant must provide own equipment and possess a keen sense of one’s surroundings and patron awareness as to not disturb the spirit or flow of the performance. Work-study status a plus. Graduate students are encouraged to apply.

Notes: This position is for the 2021/22 school year. Schedule of concerts to photograph will be shared in advance and mutually agreed upon. Events typically take place on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, with some exceptions.

Hour Range: Generally 30-45 minutes per concert

Pay Range: $45 per concert
