Fellowship Award Amount: $5000

About Your Organization
Prof. James Robinson (Uchicago Harris) is seeking to work with two research assistants as part of the Becker-Friedman Institute (BFI) Summer RA program. This position will be for for Summer 2022 with exact dates set by the BFI. You will work with Prof. Robinson as well as with Prof. Leander Heldring (Northwestern Kellogg)
 
Job Title and Work Location
Research assistant. The work location can either by at the Harris School at the University of Chicago or remote, and will be decided collaboratively.

Job Duties and Responsibilities 
Your responsibility will be to support Prof Robinson on projects in political economy, economic development, and economic history. This will include processing data using deep learning methods, statistical analysis, literature review and preparing results for publication.
 
Requirements
Prof Robinson is look for candidates with a strong interest in research, and strong programming skills. A background in economics is desirable but not required. Anyone with a background in applied math/computer science/political science/economics and an interest in research is encouraged to apply.
