This internship is funded by the Brickell Metcalf Internship program. Students will receive a stipend amount of $5,000 dollars which will be issued directly through Career Advancement.

Booth School of Business
The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is the graduate business school of the University of Chicago. Founded in 1898, Chicago Booth is the second-oldest business school in the U.S. and is associated with 9 Nobel laureates in the Economic Sciences, more than any other business school in the world.
 
Job Title and Work Location
Research Professionals work with faculty to collect data, maintain databases, conduct statistical analysis, help develop financial and econometric models, and provide other support associated with faculty research. The Research Professional will take part in a research project on crypto-currencies.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities 
1.         Collects data, conducts complex statistical analysis, writes statistical software programs, and organizes the presentation of results.
2.         Creates charts, tables, and descriptive text for presentations. 
3.         Maintains databases, reviews background materials, and performs preliminary research.
4.         Helps develop financial and econometric models.
5.         Other duties as requested.
 
 
Requirements
1.         Familiarity with Stata is required. Familiarity with other mathematical and statistics software/languages such as R, Python, and Matlab is preferred.
2.         Ability to work well independently, as well as with others, and to meet deadlines under pressure is required.
