Fellowship Award Amount: $5000
Internship Time Commitment: Summer 2022 Full-Time; 400 hours



Professor Anjali Adukia (University of Chicago) and Emileigh Harrison (University of Chicago) are looking to hire a research assistant for a range of projects, including a study on representation of race and gender in education. The position is based at UChicago.

We are looking for a highly-motivated person who can work efficiently with close attention to details.

Responsibilities:
- Clean, analyze, and visualize a variety of datasets
- Collect supplemental data (e.g. download and clean census data, survey data, etc)
- Manually label data (e.g. label the race and gender of politicians)
- Communicating and documenting your process to other researchers on the project
- Proof-read code for other researchers on the project
- Other responsibilities as they arise

Required qualifications:
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Experience coding in R
- Familiarity with Github
- Willingness to take ownership of projects from start to finish

Desired qualifications
- Familiarity with python is a bonus
