Performance Publicity Assistant at Department of Music
Description: Primary responsibilities include general administrative work for the Performance Program, related both to concert promotion and to concert production. Employee will assist with all areas of concert publicity, ranging from social media marketing to distribution of publicity materials on campus and in the community. Assist with evening concerts, including ushering, receptions, clean-up, etc., as needed. This position offers an opportunity for students with appropriate qualifications and experience to specialize in marketing, communications and media work. Combination of remote and in office work.
Qualifications: Proficient administrative skills are required, including familiarity with many computer platforms and substantial word-processing and database experience. Knowledge of standard concert protocol required. Conscientious nature, reliability, and commitment to quality in all work are essential. Position requires an energetic individual who is willing to walk around campus and Hyde Park as needed. Some evening and weekend work is required.
Public notes: IMPORTANT: This is a full academic year position; candidates must be available to work Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters. Students who plan to study abroad, graduate early, etc. should not apply. Must be available to work two weekend/night concerts per quarter.
