UChicago Metcalf Clinics - Consulting & Financial Modeling

Clinics are open to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students interested in working on financial modeling and consulting projects during the Autumn and Winter Quarters.

 Groups of 4-5 students will be matched with an organization to complete a project together while building hands-on experience and key skills that employers seek when recruiting for internships and full-time positions. These projects require 5 hours per week and with the majority of the work completed remotely.

Project 1 - Illinois Housing Development Authority - Secondary research and expert interviews to develop recommendations for new revenue paths for Housing Finance Authorities .

Project 2 - Blackthorne Capital Management - Analyze the effect of inflation and other outside forces (e.g., weather, geopolitics) on commodity asset classes including corn and energy. Deliver econometric models on future performance to inform Blackthorne’s investment strategy across several asset classes and scenarios.

Students receive a stipend of $2,500 for their work!
