CIL: Law & Politics Track Application (Transfer Students)
Careers in Law is excited to announce the opening of applications for Law & Politics 2024-2025, a one-year selective track program. Politics is the leading reason for attending law school among pre-law students. The program is open to all students transferring to the College in the fall of 2024 regardless of major. The program is specifically targeted at students who are interested in attending law school with the aim of entering politics. The program will serve its small cohort (10-15 students) with specialized advising; mentoring; targeted programming; and final projects such as a debate, a mock press conference, or a mock campaign speech on current issues. Past years' speakers have included Valerie Jarrett, former FBI Director James Comey, Senator Dick Durbin, and Congressmen Andy Kim '04, Sean Casten, federal judges, US Attorneys etc. The Careers in Law program will be working closely with multiple campus partners such as the Institute of Politics. Applications will open at 8 am on May 17, 2024 and close on July 8, 2024.
